Civil rights leader and minister Reverend Jesse L. Jackson (1941 - ) worked with SCLC's Operation Breadbasket before leading and merging Operation PUSH with the National Rainbow Coalition. Jackson founded both organizations that have become the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition which advocate for economic opportunity and social justice. He has also been an active political leader, running for the U.S. presidency in 1984 and 1988. Jackson was interviewed by The HistoryMakers on 2/28/2006, 3/1/2006, 3/2/2006, 3/9/2006 and 3/11/2006, in Chicago, Illinois. This collection is comprised of the video footage of the interview.
